A snow groomer is a tracked vehicle designed to improve the quality of snow for practicing the main winter sports.
The term refers more specifically to resurfacing vehicles used for reworking ice surface, especially rinks.
The principe of the grommer is simple:
  •  An articulated front blade is used to give shape to the track, breaking bumps, pluging holes, removing snow, etc.
  • The tracks are used to move the machine but also to obtain a first compating snow.
  • At the rear, a milling followed soon after by flexible flaps wich smooth the whole, with a form of "corrugated iron" which increase the contact surface with snow cold air, and therefore, improve the penetration of cold air in the snow.

By building this grommer, I wanted to create a functional MOC who can really shape the tracks and also it has a design and dimensions* that are closest to the original.

*Thanks to Sariel, we can now easily comply with the dimensions of a model just based on a photograph. We no longer have to find a plan on "The-Blueprints" of on the internet. Sariel's model scaler
